Who is hosting an open house in Spring 2016? Are you offering any interesting tours or activities?

Hi Mary,
Its awesome that you started this discussion board. Thank you! And great question. I'm working on building interest and publicity for this first National Cohousing Open House Day April 30. I know some communities are starting to come up with some great ideas and activities for it. One already had an open house recently and did it with self guided tours and maps of places people can visit. There were 'cohousers' at each spot to talk to people about it. Sounds like it was a great time.

Would you be interested in coordinating with National Foodcycle Week in April?

Activities might include:
* Accepting donations from local gardeners for shelters, food banks, and soup kitchens (and of course giving tours to donors once they arrive)
* Demonstrating community garden beds, straw bale gardens, etc. devoted to supporting local food charities

Any activity associated with National Foodcycle Week will qualify the cohousing for free social media, press release, and media promotions.
